Tijuana policeman shot in Mexicali; 2 state police remain missing in Ensenada

      Tijuana policeman Daniel Ortiz Amador, 41, in Mexicali to visit family, was shot while in his vehicle on the outskirts of the city, El Mexicano newspaper reported.

      The paper also said two state policemen, Carlos Armando García Ortega (of the state preventive police) and Juan Ramón Flores Paredes, 31 (of the state ministerial police) remained missing; they were last seen around midafternoon May 11 in Ensenada.
